Here she is, my first sample pack! I have plans for many more in this series, including specific DJ tools and other cool ideas. For this initial pack I decided to focus on FM based sounds. Everything was created with my Digitone and Model:Cycles. I will do another FM Goodness pack in the future, but I thought this would be a good place to start. Everything in this pack is royalty free for personal and commercial use, so have at it! The only thing you are NOT allowed to do is to re-package or re-sample these packs and distribute your own packs. No sample incest please…just make music and hopefully get some bangers out of the kit!

Everything was recorded at 120BPM, with most of the fundamentals being around Cmin or Gmin with some odd exceptions. I left everything “mostly dry” with the exception of the shaker recordings (which are from one of my wood blocks and the only non FM recordings). The shakers I then processed with an FM modulation on each shaker loop so you have a crystalized option for the (wet).

Some of these loops and shots are compressed while others are not. I am not a huge fan of overly processed audio files in sample packs, but I get why sometimes its nice-to-have. In the case of this first sample pack, there is minimal processing on most of the sounds. If you feel like you need more volume turn something up…if you feel like you need less, turn that ‘ish down. Mangle things up, chop it up…re-sample it…get creative and use the paints provided.
